I moved to Montana in 1999, after graduating from the University of Georgia with a degree in Animal Science.  I  worked as a technician at WAH for 7 years before moving to my current position as office manager.  This position enables me to have more time to spend with my husband, Marc, and our daughter, Brooke.  In my spare time, I enjoy being in the outdoors with my family and our three yellow labrador retrievers- River, Madison, and Chico.

I am a recovering Canadian, born in Edmonton, Alberta, raised in the Flathead Valley.  I earned my Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Montana.  After an 11 year research career, I moved to Whitefish with my husband, Clay.  We have a german shepherd (Alta), a golden retriever (Willie), and thanks to the amazing doctors at WAH, a 4 time cancer surviving Rottweiler mix named Hayden.  I am a part time technician at WAH allowing me more time with Clay and our baby boy, Brody.  Our family loves strolling with the dogs, skiing when we can, and playing on the lakes in the valley.

Jennifer Murray - Technician

I graduated from the University of Oregon in 2005 with a degree in General Science.  I have been working as a vet tech here at Whitefish Animal Hospital for two years.  When not at work, which is rare, I can be found at home or running around with my yellow lab, Emmy, or my two cats, Frigg and Freya.  I also enjoy traveling with my family whenever I get a chance.

Jen Carpenedo-Ferree
- Technician

After graduating from college in 1994, I moved to Whitefish to be a ski bum before returning to grad school.  Who knew Whitefish would have such allure and I would still be here years later.  My passion is the great outdoors where on any given day you can find me skiing, hiking, or biking with my 2 faithful dogs and husband, Jon.

Yoko Takahashi - Technician

I was born in Japan then moved to the Seattle area with my family when I was 4 years old.  I graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor’s degree in Zoology and worked as a veterinary assistant for 8-1/2 years in Seattle before I joined the Whitefish Animal Hospital team in June 2008.  I grew up visiting friends here and decided to pursue my dream of living in such a beautiful place.  I enjoy listening to music, traveling, riding horses, mentoring and working with kids, as well as all the outdoor activities Whitefish has to offer.  I currently live with two adorable calico cats, Bubble Toes and Mimosa.

Krista Arvidson - Technician

I was born and raised in Juneau, Alaska and have had a passion for animals since I was a very small child.  After completing a degree in Zoology from the University of Idaho, I enjoyed a  10 year career as a fisheries biologist for the Alaska Dept. of Fish and Game . My dog Taku and I had many adventures living in remote field camps doing salmon research.  I joined the WAH team in 2004 after I moved here as a newlywed.  Life has been busy since then, including a move to Germany for  18 months  and the addition of 3 kids and 2 new dogs to our family!  Currently I am just working on Saturdays  so that I can spend as much time as possible playing, gardening and getting everyone out to enjoy the beautiful Montana outdoors.

Belinda Mitchell - Receptionist

After graduating with a BS degree in Foods and Nutrition from Cal Poly, Ponoma, my husband, Phil, and I headed north escaping the hectic pace of Southern California.  Like many of you, we came to Whitefish, fell in love with it's beauty and friendly community and stayed.  We've been here for 30 years now.  We have 2 grown sons, both of whom are married, live out of state and are looking forward to the day when they can move back to Whitefish.  I have been working at WAH since 2003, and I use my dietetic skills to purchase all of the hospital pet food.  In my spare time I enjoy reading and quilting.

Lisa Landreth - Receptionist

My husband and I moved to Whitefish in 1998 and feel blessed to live in such a beautiful and friendly place.  I grew up in the Seattle area after spending the first few years of my life in San Francisco.  I studied graphic design at Western Washington University and received my undergraduate degree in 1985.  My husband's work took us to the Dallas area in 1987, where we lived until coming to Montana.  I worked in advertising for many years but finally realized my true "calling" was cooking.  I eventually became the sous chef and saucier for a Dallas-area country club after graduating from a chef school.  I've been working at WAH since late 2007.  When I am not taking appointments and answering the calls of our clients, you can find me on the golf course- striving for the perfect game.  We adopted Mitch, our tabby cat, in 1993.  Thanks to Dr. Jim and the incredible staff at the WAH, we are making the most of Mitch's 9 lives!

Diane Archie - Receptionist

The new kid on the block, I joined Whitefish Animal Hospital in June of 2009.  After spending the last 8 years traveling as event coordinators, my husband Paul and I decided to settle down and have a family.  A year or so after the birth of our daughter Eleanor I knew it was time to go back to work.  I was fortunate to be able to join a great team at the Whitefish Animal Hospital and indulge my lifelong love for and curiosity about animals.  I am a Canadian who has spent half my life learning and growing here in Whitefish.

I love to play in the outdoors, play music and spend quality time with my friends and family.
